At present there are the following: Redwick Proper [Downtown], Fairwald [first circle], Silverford [second circle], Springwell [third circle], Brookcoast [outer circle - south], Newfort [outer circle - east], Icemarsh [outer circle - north], and Westerhall [outer circle - west]. Tired Old Soldiers Posted March 16, 2018 Author Share Posted March 16, 2018 Redwick Proper [Downtown] Redwick Proper, also known as Downtown Redwick, is the major area of the city. There are skyscrapers everywhere, and they contain everything from restaurants and shops to businesses and apartments. The entire area is circular, with a massive wall surrounding it. Though there are many neighborhoods that make up downtown Redwick, it is generally clumped together and regarded as one area. The neighborhoods that make up Redwick range from extremely dangerous inner city slums to extremely expensive high rise apartments. Almost all of the businesses and entertainment can be found in the city proper, and there's a wide, wide variety of pretty much anything you can think of. LOCATION NAME ABOUT LOCATION GOES HERE. It was the very first of the suburbs built, and for a time it was full of young families and working professionals who didn't want to live in the city. But as the city expanded, crime moved outward and took root in the suburb. Now, it's considered a slum almost as bad as the inner city ones, and crime rates are through the roof. There are many rival gangs who fight over turf. There are businesses here, though they are often terrorized by the gangs and forced to pay 'protection' fees. Apartments and houses here are extremely cheap, but most of the landlords are either part of the gangs or don't care about their tenants, so conditions are not good. While conditions are not nearly as poor as in the first circle, Silverford has fallen on hard times. There are homes and apartments that are affordable, though crime rates are higher, and violent crimes are fairly common. There are several shopping centers and movie theaters for entertainment, but the selection is limited as many business owners are reluctant to set up shop here. The homes and apartments here are more expensive, but they are extremely well maintained, and are in good locations and have good amenities. There are a variety of shopping centers, movie theaters, and restaurants throughout the area, and there are rumors of a golf course being built where one of the older parks currently is. Tired Old Soldiers Posted March 16, 2018 Author Share Posted March 16, 2018 Brookcoast, Newfort, Icemarsh, & Westerhall The outermost suburb ring of Redwick is divided into four sub-districts. The southernmost one is called Brookcoast, and houses the ultra rich, those in higher government, and celebrities. There are sprawling manors and mansions, a golf course, a mall with exclusive stores and brands, and many other things found nowhere else in the city, suburbs or otherwise. It is nearest to the beach to the south, and many of the homes to the very edge of the suburb have an exclusive and exquisite view of the sea. The eastern portion of the circle, Newfort, houses the military base, and includes all the buildings necessary for that, as well as housing for those who work there, ranging from small apartments to full homes, depending on need. There are several restaurants, movie theaters, and fast food joints, as well as a commissary right on base. To the north is Icemarsh, a high end community with expensive condos, homes, and fairly exclusive businesses. It's not as pricey as Brookcoast, but is still considered a desirable area for those who can afford it. New homes have recently been built here, meaning there's more housing available here than other areas of this community. Lastly, there's Westerhall, which has large mansions and homes for doctors, lawyers, and some business folks who can afford it. Though not as exclusive as Brookcoast, it's very similar and those who can't afford the other community often settle here. A recent addition is a stable and race track for horse racing.
