About Thomas Sharpe was born in Allerdale Hall while it still stood tall and proud and before his father had squandered the family fortune. The clay mining was still pretty good and things almost seemed happy. At least, on the surface. However, as Thomas and his older sister Lucille grew up, things quickly went from decent to downright horrible. Their mother confined them to the attic and told them to be quiet, threatening to hit them if she should hear them. The threats and the abuse was even worse when their father was around as he had no issue hitting anyone, from his children to his wife. He was a loud man who preferred the company of loose women and strong spirits to the family that he had created. When Thomas was ten, their father broke their mother's leg in three places and ended up dying in a mysterious fall soon after. No one questioned the fate of the drunk bastard who left his kids and wife in a rotting house with very little money for food and necessities. The few times that he chose to hang around the town, he started fights and acted better than the majority of the people around him despite growing up there. When their mother was finally able to be mobile again, she was even crueler towards the kids than before. She hit them with her newly acquired cane and Lucille more than once stood in between the way of the cane and Thomas, refusing to allow the old hag to hit him. For the longest time, Lucille was the only person who ever loved and believed in Thomas. She would let him rest his head in her lap as he cried, watched as he spent hours on in inventing toys for them to play with, listened quietly when he excitedly explained new ideas to her. It was easy for her to convince him that their mother had to die, although he really didn't want to do it. She convinced him to help her kill the old hag who had made their lives so miserable and, at twelve years old, Thomas became an accomplice in a murder. When the authorities came to the scene, they were horrified to figure out the truth of the situation. Realizing that tiny little Thomas had very little to do with the murder itself, they sent him off to boarding school while turning their attentions on the true murderer: Lucille. They ripped her from the house, and from Thomas, kicking and screaming and sent her off to be institionalized. They forbid contact between the two siblings, wanting to try to break Lucille's hold over her little brother. Upon becoming adults, Thomas graduated his boarding school and Lucille was released from her institution. They both went back to the only place that they knew, Allerdale Hall, and were absolutely delighted to be reunited with each other again. Soon, Thomas began working on plans for an invention that would help bring in their old fortune again. Unfortunately, they were unable to raise capitol to be able to build it. It was then that Lucille came up with the idea to lure in broken women with Thomas's charms to kill them for their money. Thomas didn't want to do it and felt sickened at the thought, but Lucille convinced him yet again. So, three separate times they drew in older women and eventually killed them. Everything changed, however, when Thomas laid eyes on Edith Cushing. She was beautiful, smart, strong, and had a similar sort of creative streak that he did. He was unable to stay away from her, despite her being completely different from every other woman that they'd gone after. Lucille had her doubts, but allowed her brother to do as he pleased. He fell in love with her and his confession on the day of her father's murder (at Lucille's hands) was completely real. For the first time, Thomas was happy to be married and happy to take Edith home. However, his happiness was quickly dashed upon making that first cup of poisoned tea for her. He didn't want to kill Edith, didn't want to just take her money. As time wore on, he fell even more in love with her and eventually she became the first woman outside of his sister that he made love to. When Edith found out the truth and tried to escape, Thomas took it as his chance to finally escape Allerdale Hall. He asked Alan to show him the best place to stab him, then helped him down to the lower level before dashing off to help Edith. He told her about Alan and asked her to wait for him, promising to make things right. He then ran into the kitchen and tossed the papers into the fire, but was confronted by Lucille. In a rage when she finally realized that he loved Edith, she attacked her brother and eventually killed him. He came back one last time, distracting his sister while Edith grasped the upper hand and killed Lucille. III Plots SHIPS: Edith/Thomas PLOTS: Anything having to do with Lucille/Thomas, pre-Crimson Peak, would be epic. I'd also love to play Thomas in a mini-game and give my precious puppy man a chance at a life away from Lucille and Allerdale Hall. More plots soon!
