Just Imagine

Is a multi-genre site where you can play a multitude of characters. There is not an overall plot or setting, as you create those when you set up threads with other members. Joining is simple - you post up a member intro outlining what sorts of things you're looking for and what you're not and your posting preferences.

Once you've posted that up you can get started on creating character accounts, which we'll go into a bit more further in this guide.

Our Goal

is to have a safe, friendly, relaxed, and open environment for people to write in. No pressure, no post requirements beyond what you set up with your writing partners, and the freedom to create whatever you can imagine.

are expected here, which we'll go into further as well. Please be sure to read through each post in this thread as it sums up the basics for writing here. There are further resources pinned in the appropriate forums to help you get set up once you've joined! questions please post in this thread and tag me.

The Rules

Our Basic Guidelines Are Here

We are 21+. *

We are rated 333 on the RPG Rating Scale. We also have a tentative 21+ age limit. All of our current writers are either in university or are working in their career path or job of choice. Due to this and the age range of those here currently, we expect a certain level of maturity and understanding when it comes to people's offline lives.

* While we are tentatively 21+, if you are at least 18 and feel that you can be patient and understanding of those in different, oftentimes busier life stages, we are willing to welcome you on a trial basis.

Everyone is welcome.

We welcome folks from all walks of life. This is a safe space for minorities. Hate speech is never okay and will not be tolerated here. Heated discussions are welcome, so long as they do not cross into hateful rhetoric. They must be kept to the specified forum only. A separate set of rules will be posted there.

If you ever feel uncomfortable with a topic, requesting to drop or change the subject is perfectly acceptable. The staff team's DMs are always open as well, so if you are uncomfortable with a situation and need someone to step in, or even just need to talk about it, reach out, please.

No 3-Strike system.

While the 3-Strike system works well some places, we don't feel it is the best option for us. We operate on a case-by-case basis. Each situation will be evaluated and handled in what the staff team feels is the most appropriate way for the site as a whole.

The severity and frequency of offenses will be considered when making decisions on the proper handling of a situation. Please always feel free to reach out to the staff if you need help or have questions about something onsite, the discord, or other places set up for the members of the community.

We do not delete content.

To preserve the continuity and integrity of the stories being told, we do not delete any content onsite. Please keep this in mind when joining and posting your stories and roleplays here.

OOC accounts are required.

Please join with an OCC (Out of Character) account first, as this is required to use the character switcher system. Canon character names may not be used for OOC accounts.

Please register character accounts.

As canon characters are allowed, there may be multiple people using the same character. Because of that, everyone after the first to register will need to use another username - think something rp.me or tumblr-esque - to identify your specific version of that character. Original characters can do the same but may also use their names. Further details of the character registration process can be found in this same forum.

 

A player intro is next.

 

Because of the nature of this site, player intros/profiles are necessary. They give a directory of everyone onsite and what each of us is interested in, when we're normally online, and other such things. This area is where you can also post a wants and limits thread to indicate comfort levels with various aspects of roleplaying.
